Rules for wreath dancing:
The women decorate their dance partners' hats with spices, flowers and tobacco in advance ("wreath up"). To thank them, the men invite the women to eat and drink until the evening. The dancing couples proudly wear their traditional costumes and spend the day and evening together dancing and having a good time. According to custom, both dance partners are only allowed to dance together, not with anyone else. During the course of the day, the dancing couples come to the “über d'Goss geh” in the Gasthof Neuwirt and Platzwirt. A musical atmosphere is provided.
