Hundstoaranggeln on Hundstein in Pinzgau is probably the oldest sport organised in the Alps. On the last Sunday in July, hundreds of people make the pilgrimage to the Hoher Hundstein to take part in this competition as fighters or spectators. It is said that Ranggeln is the most honest test of strength for men in the Alpine region.
